Job Description:
Job Title: Oncology Team Lead RNAt US Oncology, Inc, we are
seeking an experienced Oncology Team Lead RN to join our team. As a
key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for
providing leadership and support to our nursing and clinical
support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care
in our oncology infusion setting.Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the clinical operations for nursing
clinical support activities
- Provide staff training and in-service instruction
- Determine staffing requirements and maintain effective nursing
staff coverage
- Participate in interviewing and recruiting of nursing
personnel
- Assist with the review and revision of clinical policies and
procedures
- Verify correct coding and charge capture
- Assist with annual performance evaluations of nursing and
clinical staff
- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote the
continuity of care
- Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and
supervision of a physician
- Program portable infusion pumps for continuous drug
delivery
- Assess health status and collect and record nursing assessment
and interventions
- Review and report results of health status assessment and
physical examination
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families
- Maintain patient confidentialityRequirements:
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing
education, BSN preferred
- Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in
practicing state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of five (5) years of RN experience
- One year of supervisory or nursing leadership experience
preferred
- Oncology experience is strongly preferred
- Oncology certification preferredWorking Conditions:The work
